DogTag: You’re It! –Become A Volunteer Today!

Mona and I are partners in our Independent Rescue DogTag: You’re It! We’re based in southern Orange County and we've rescued many strays, relinquished, abandoned, and even shelter dogs.  We have a very thorough fostering/adoption process to make sure that we know our rescues will be placed in the best homes. In the meantime there are plenty of ways you or anyone you know interested in helping our rescue—can volunteer.
Fostering
Upon rescuing a stray we immediately take them to get fully vetted. Then we network for suitable foster homes so we can place them somewhere temporarily while we network for their adoption. Fostering is probably the most important form of volunteering for us; we are always in need of temporary homes for our rescues.  Here is a link to some of our Youtube Videos of our rescues in need of foster homes at the moment.

Food/Supplies
We provide all of the provisions for our rescues in foster homes such as food, grooming, collar, leash, harness, etc. All of our expenses are mostly out of pocket so any help we appreciate any help we can get with supplies, food, etc. We purchase our food from Desley’s Pet Grooming  located at 2144 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006 (323)734-6000 and we are appreciative of anyone wanting to donate on our behalf. We also receive medical/vetting services and sometimes boarding at Plaza Pet Hospital in Lake Forest. If you would like to donate under Mona Tehrani's account please speak with Chris at (949)581-7979.
Networking/Marketing Our Pups
We network online as well as at our own adoption event in Santa Monica. We are always in need of volunteers to help us spread the word about our pups. We have flyers that we would like to distribute at various Pet Boutiques in the Orange County/West L.A. area so that could be one way to assist us.
Adoption Event
We are also always in need of extra hands and eyes at our adoption events. If you would like to volunteer at our event for specific dates, check out our Events Schedule. We also do the transports to and from Orange County and ask our L.A. fosters to transport our rescues to adoption events. Transport volunteers are always of great help especially with the amount of pups we are trying to find homes for.

There are plenty of things that we could use the extra help with and we appreciate your interest and desire to help our rescue.

Sincerely,
Sara
